Jay-Z married Beyoncé in 2008, but allegations of an affair circulated in 2014. Although the two passed over the interview without confirming or denying, the rumor was rekindled when Beyoncé mentioned “Becky with the beautiful hair” in the lyrics of her 2016 album Lemonade.
Jay-Z followed suit, hinting at an apology to his wife and daughter in the lyrics of his 2017 album, 4:44. The two have been on good terms since then and are working on a joint album in 2018.
