Risk 2: Drowsiness

Bananas contain tryptophan, an essential amino acid that is known for its ability to promote sleep. Because the carbohydrates in bananas also prevent the influx of amino acids into the brain, this function stimulates the production of serotonin in the brain, which also leads to drowsiness.

Magnesium also has the effect of relaxing muscles, so eating too many bananas can lead to drowsiness.

Risk 3: Dental caries

Bananas are rich in fructose. Unlike sugar, fructose is a natural ingredient, but consuming too much of it can be harmful to your teeth. In addition, the acid contained in bananas is thought to damage tooth enamel, making it more susceptible to cavities.

Although bananas are not as likely to cause tooth decay as other sweet foods, you should be careful not to overeat them just because they are healthy.
