Bananas are rich in fructose. Unlike sugar, fructose is a natural ingredient, but consuming too much of it can be harmful to your teeth. In addition, the acid contained in bananas is thought to damage tooth enamel, making it more susceptible to cavities.

Although bananas are not as likely to cause tooth decay as other sweet foods, you should be careful not to overeat them just because they are healthy.
